Healing Can Begin Right Where You Are

Wherever you are starting from, you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out.

I have always felt drawn to helping people navigate some of life's darkest and most difficult moments. One of the things I value most about being a therapist is having the opportunity to offer a safe space where you can show up exactly as you are—without fear of judgment—and walking alongside you as you begin to heal, grow, and make progress.

My Approach: You Already Have What It Takes

I believe every individual already has strengths within them that can support healing. Sometimes, those strengths feel impossible to access after trauma, painful experiences, or seasons of life that leave you feeling overwhelmed and disconnected.

In our sessions, we will create a space to slow down, better understand what you’ve been through, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been lost along the way. Because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, my work is deeply person-centered. I meet you where you are and adapt our pace to your individual needs, goals, and experiences.

What It’s Like to Work with Me

In our work together, you can expect me to be genuine, compassionate, and occasionally humorous. I believe therapy should hold space for both the difficult and the lighter moments. I will also gently challenge you when it feels helpful, while making sure you feel entirely supported throughout the process.

My work is trauma-informed and tailored to you. Depending on your goals, we may incorporate evidence-based approaches such as:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • Elements of IFS (Internal Family Systems) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to help explore different parts of yourself and build practical coping tools

  • An attachment-informed perspective to better understand how your early relationships shape your experiences today

  • Solution-Focused strategies to help you make meaningful, real-world progress

The Meaning Behind Salt & Pine Restorative Counseling

The word restorative is the heartbeat of my practice. To me, restoration is about tending to the wounds that life and trauma leave behind, and working toward reclaiming what may have been lost along the way.

My guiding hope—“Helping healing take root”—represents my wish that therapy creates more than temporary relief. Together, we work to cultivate deep, lasting healing that continues to grow long after our time together ends.

Outside the Therapy Room

Originally from Maine, I spent the last several years living in Virginia as a military spouse before recently returning home. Maine has always held a special place in my heart, and I couldn't be happier to be back home enjoying the landscapes, hiking trails, and gardening.

I am incredibly grateful Telehealth allows me to bridge the gap between these two worlds. My virtual practice remains fully dedicated to providing a consistent, supportive space for clients residing across both Maine and Virginia.
